        "text": "ORDER\nThe pending motions and petitions in this case are resolved as follows: N.C.R. App. P. 27(c) provides that \u201c[c]ourts may not extend the time for taking an appeal or for filing a petition for discretionary review.\u201d For that reason, defendant\u2019s \u201cMotion to Deem Petition [and Notice of Appeal] Timely Filed\u201d is denied, the State\u2019s \u201cMotion to Dismiss Defendant\u2019s Notice of Appeal (Constitutional Question)\u201d is allowed, and defendant\u2019s \u201cPetition for Discretionary Review\u201d is dismissed. Defendant\u2019s \u201cPetition for Writ of Certiorari\u201d is allowed in part and denied in part.
